Born in 2003 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Muskaan is quite unlike the typical Gen Z student. In an era when social media has taken over, she finds her solace in art and literature. Muskaan picked up the paint brush at the age of 8, and has not found any reason to put it down since. A student of Ahmedabad International School, the 16-year-old is also a published author. She has been continuing her artistic journey through self-exploration. A keen observer of nature, Muskaan’s art is instinctive. It is reflective of contrasting feelings of joy and uncertainty, anxiety and hope. Her writing investigates how we deal with loneliness, betrayal and disaster – all of these themes wrapped with nostalgia and childhood mis-adventures.
